Dawn Cerny.
The amount of research that goes into Dawn's work is the culmination of many different eras and sects of epics. The bible, theater, tourist towns, all having a role in shaping reality to a specific will. These influences on her life and what she looks into beyond that are what fuel her drive to create, even if they're not prevalent in the creations themselves. Many artists will be directly referencing whatever it is they are researching as a commentary on what it means and what people should take away from it. Dawn's work to me seemed to be about the act of working more than the concepts behind it. The depth of her artistry is in how she uses these ideals to push onward in her artistic voyage and the intangible value it holds, rather than use art as a finite medium to convey her thoughts about the truth of humanity, as if she knows it it too large to capture so definitely. To me her practice is one of true artistic drive because she shows such willingness to develop and take on new concepts, such as getting a masters in sculpture, an area in which she had no experience.
